PRIMEIRO REGISTRO DE Quadrastichus erythrinae Kim, 2004 (HYMENOPTERA: EULOPIDAE) ATACANDO Erythrina variegata L. NO EQUADOR

O objetivo deste trabalho de pesquisa foi coletar, identificar e georreferenciar a presença do inseto em quatro províncias da costa equatoriana. O tecido vegetal doente foi coletado em saco de papel rotulado para obtenção dos adultos, que após emergidos foram preservados em álcool 70% para posterior identificação e estudo. Também foi realizada dissecação branquial para observação de larvas e pupas, além de adultos, com auxílio de estereoscópio da marca SWIFT com aumento de 10x e 20x e microscópio OMAX com aumento de 10x e 20x. Para a identificação dos espécimes foram utilizadas chaves descritivas da superfamília Chalcidoidea e família Eulopidae. Foi determinado que a espécie pertence a Quadrastichus erythrinae Kim, atacando árvores de E. variegata. Sendo o primeiro registro da praga no país e o segundo na America do Sul.
