Abstract

Objective: The objective of the study was to analyze the effect of the amoust goals in small-sided games (SSG) on psychophysiological markers in adolescents practicing futsal. Methods: Eight male futsal adolescents (16.1 ±1.3years; 58.8 ±5.2kg; 171.8 ±5.0cm) who trained regularly twice a week participanted in the study. Two familiarization sessions were analyzed: 1) SSG1goal 4 x 4 with a goal for each team; 2) SSG3goal 4 x 4 with three goals for each team. The order of the SSG was chosen random. For internal load analysis, the CR 0-10 scale of rating of perceived exertion (RPE) was used and for the affective response, the feeling scale was used. The paired t-test was used to analyze the psychophysiological response, considering a significant p-value < 0.05. Results and conclusion: The results showed no significant difference: the RPE values were similar between the SSG (SSG1goal: 3.3 ±1.7 vs. SSG3goals: 4.0 ±0.7, p > 0.05) in the same way for the affective response (SSG1goal: 2.5 ±0.8 vs. SSG3goals: 2.3 ±1.0, p > 0.05), additionally it was observed that the RPE values were “a little difficult” and the affective response remained positive during both SSG. The SSG1goal and SSG3goals did not presents significant difference in psychophysiological markers in male futsal adolescents.
