EVALUATION OF BLOOD TYPES, GLYCEMIC TEST ANDBLOOD PRESSURE

Diabetes and systemic arterial hypertension are the two most common diseases in industrialized countries. The frequency of these changes in populations increases with age. Since blood typing is not requested from students at the Federal Institute of Triângulo Mineiro, the identification of blood groups becomes valid. In addition to the assessment of blood glucose levels and blood pressure. The objectives of this study were to identify the blood type of IFTM higher education students, Campus Uberaba, and to analyze the blood sample relating blood type to blood glucose and blood pressure values. The experiment was carried out in the city of Uberaba-MG and conducted in a laboratory of IFTM Campus Uberaba. The collections were performed in March and April 2017 in the morning. Regarding blood type, type O positive predominated, followed by A positive, B positive and O negative. The least frequent blood types were A negative, AB positive, B negative and no student had AB negative blood type. No significant difference was found when correlating
blood type with blood glucose or blood pressure.
