The rapid reduction or alteration of Cerrado and Atlantic Forest areas justifies studies on the diversity, distribution and occurrence of biota, such as spiders (order Araneae), which perform different environmental services. Therefore, this study aims to add more information about the spider fauna in the region of the municipality of Luminárias, in the south of the state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil, located in an area of transition between Cerrado and Atlantic Forest, with the presence of Rupestrian Field. The records were made between May 2023 and March 2024, using the active search method. A total of 323 individuals of 67 species and morphospecies were collected, but the richness is likely to be higher, since this record was only made by active search. It is therefore recommended that an inventory be carried out with a longer sample time and using other methodologies, in order to more reliably measure the spider fauna of the municipality of Luminárias.
