Treinamento resistido em parâmetros clínicos pós-acidente vascular encefálico: revisão de literatura

Authors

Abstract

Objective: To identify the effects of resistance exercise on cardiovascular and autonomic function in post-stroke individuals. Methods: systematized literature review was carried out in the Periódico CAPES, PUBMED and BVS databases (including LILACS AND MEDLINE), with studies carried out between 2013 and 2023. Results: Six articles that met the eligibility criteria established for this research were selected. All were randomized clinical trials using resistance training in the stroke population. Studies show that the practice of resistance training in this population caused significant changes at the autonomic nervous system level, as well as in the cardiovascular system, as a post-exercise hypotensive effect. Conclusion: Resistance training can contribute positively to post-stroke individuals' cardiovascular and autonomic health and can be used alone or in association with other types of physical training.
