Abstract

The water bodies that supply the population are in deficit or contaminated, due to natural or man-made factors. An alternative might be the consumption of industrialized mineral water. This fact is verified by the continuous growth of the demand for this type of product. With the emergence of several companies in the industry, there was a need to analyze the quality of mineral water consumed by the residents of Montanha - ES. The research was carried out with 20 liters gallons. The parameters chosen were those shown on the labels, in addition to total coliforms and Escherichia coli, factors that directly interfere with human health. In the city, only two brands of mineral water are sold. Two samples of each brand were collected, both from different lots and points of sale. In possession of the results, a comparison was made, of the analyzes and labels with Ordinance No. 2914/2011 of the Ministry of Health, which provide for water potability parameters. It was diagnosed that only batch B2 of brand B was within the quality parameters, the Acta Biologica Brasiliensia, v. 4, n. 1 (2021) ISSN online 2596-0016 75 other batches of both brands A1, A2 and B1 were outside the ideal consumption parameters, as it has acidic pH and batches A1 and B1 presented Coliforms totals.
