Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The contribution is original and unpublished and not being evaluated for publication by another magazine; otherwise, you must justify in "Comments to the editor."
- The submission file is in format Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF.
- URLs for references were informed when possible.
- The text has the following settings: pages in A4 paper (210x297mm) and 2 cm margins on all sides, Cambria font, size 12, single line spacing, 1.25 cm paragraph indentation.
- In case of submission to a peer review section (e.g. articles), the instructions available in Ensuring the blind peer review were followed.
The REFACS is a quarterly publication and trilingual (Portuguese, English and Spanish).
For versions in English and Spanish, translations are the responsibility of the author, and the translator will be indicated by the Journal
- All authors must declare possible conflicts of interest. The declaration of conflict of interest must be informed at the time of submission of the manuscript through the submission system.
- Brazilian authors must mention it in the manuscript and send a copy of the study approval by the Research Ethics Committee recognized by the Comissão Nacional de Ética em Pesquisa, the Conselho Nacional de Saúde (CONEP-CNS) or by an equivalent institution, if the research has been carried out in another country.
- All authors must complete and sign the Copyright Declaration and forward it as a supplementary document that must be inserted in step 2 of the submission (2. Transfer of the manuscript) together with the other submission files.
- The text follows the standards of style and bibliographic requirements outlined in on the page About the Journal.
Original Articles
Dissemination of scientific productions created from original research. Discursive contributions of theorizing effect, qualitative, quantitative and qualiquantitative research are considered researches. This modality is limited to 20 pages and up to 30 references.
Review
A publication conducted through the compilation of results of original studies, quantitative or qualitative, which aim to answer a specific and relevant question. It describes in detail the study search format, the selection criteria and the procedures used in the synthesis of the results obtained. For this section, systematic reviews, integrative reviews, scoping reviews, and narrative reviews will be accepted. These manuscripts must not exceed 25 pages and 40 references.
Case Study
Addresses a careful description of experiences that can be replicated and technical-scientific contribution. This type of manuscript is limited to 10 pages and 15 references.
Case Study
Description of clinical and/or social case(s), showing different and/or experimental situations, with analysis of the reality and focus brought by the case for contributions to clinical, epidemiological, social or combined practice. This type of manuscript is limited to 10 pages and 15 references.
Reflection
Publication addressing in-depth description of topics of interest to science health, social and human. It must contain a maximum of 10 pages and 15 references.
Brief communication
Concise manuscript, designed to disseminate preliminary results, urgent findings, or studies with a limited scope that require rapid publication, without the need for the depth of a full original article. It must not exceed 7 pages and 10 references.
Update
Themes of current interest and that should preferably be written by a specialist in the subject, with a proposal to criticize the reality. This type of manuscript is limited to 10 pages and 15 references.
