Abstract

The objective of the study was to verify the incidence of light and its variation over a 24-hour cycle in a metropolitan area of a medium-sized city in the Federal District, and to reflect on its impact on the learning of young people. Scientific evidence on light pollution and education was sought, as well as practical activities using the Lux Light Meter Pro® application. The results indicate that the presence of awnings, walls, and balconies can attenuate the direct entry of external light at certain times. In addition, there was marked light pollution, directly interfering with people's circadian cycle.
