PEOPLE LIVING WITH WOUNDS: A THEORETICAL REFLECTION

Studies concerning matters that involve the experience of the person injured can provide theoretical support health professionals for the development of nursing care quality. Thus, this article aims to reflect on the development of thematic wellbeing of people living with wounds from the International Consensus on wounds and wellness. This reflection was structured based on questions: How is life with wound? What are the dimensions of the human being are affected? There are guidelines that can facilitate better understanding of these situations? How the family can help to alleviate the suffering of people with chronic skin lesion? In this sense, the family is seen as a key element in the care relation to the achievement of wellbeing. If understand that the care is not determined only by a moment of love and attention, but rather, an attitude that encompasses professional knowledge and family know.
