Abstract

(UDL) is related to the field of teacher training, highlighting the training of teachers of Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE), in Special Education. The systematic mapping (2017) was carried out in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) and in the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC). It appears that the topic has been addressed for more than two decades in the field of teacher training, both in Special Education for monitoring students with disabilities, and in areas of knowledge such as Science, Mathematics, language teaching and on topics such as inclusion, social vulnerability and learning difficulties. In Brazil, studies focus on strategies that involve collaborative teaching, with an emphasis on flexibility and curricular accessibility involving the training of teachers from various areas of knowledge, both in initial training and in continuing teacher training. At the international level, research covers various dimensions of teacher training and presents themes that are close to the training of Special Education teachers, also involving different areas of knowledge and contexts ranging from Basic Education to University Education. Is argued that the UDL, although it has its origins in neuroscience focused on assistive technology, presents itself as a powerful training path, suggesting new studies on the subject in the field of teacher training, not only in Special Education as in several areas of knowledge, including initial and continuing teacher training.
