Abstract

This article discusses black feminism and narratives as forms of scientific production and new academic references constructed by black women, emphasizing their importance in giving voice to these women, with the main reference being the American author and activist bell hooks (1952-2021), based on her books translated and published in Brazil. Furthermore, although the study highlights the difficulty of recognizing black women in educational curricula, access to their narratives of experiences allows for the construction of critical thinking and the promotion of anti-racist education, contributing to the deconstruction of stereotypes and the strengthening of diversity in academia.
