In this work, we present the result of the investigation carried out around the question “What is this: the knowledge that is shown in Resolution nº 2, of July 1, 2015? Where we analyze the new DCN established by Resolution nº 2/2015 through Discursive Textual Analysis (ATD) and ATLAS.ti software. Among some of the objectives, we intended to 1) Study and analyze the new DCN established by Resolution No. 2/2015; 2) Create emerging categories about what this resolution shows about knowledge; 3) Map the presence of these emerging categories in the UFTM Chemistry curriculum menus, Uberaba campus. In this sense, we present the investigation that follows a qualitative approach, highlighting some existing relationships with the phenological assumptions of ATD and the use of ATLAS.ti. In this way, we describe the analytical process whose software helped in the establishment of emerging categories of analysis, as well as in the process of systematization and structuring of the investigation. Our analysis shows five emerging categories regarding knowledge from Resolution No. 2/2015. And it indicates a favorable relationship regarding the use of ATLAS.ti software and ATD. Thus, we aim to encourage new research aimed at using the software of both in qualitative investigations. In addition, it is expected from the results to promote debates about the initial training of chemistry teachers, especially at the UFTM campus in Uberaba.
