Abstract

This text aims to present an experience of teaching and research in Sociology in relation to other areas, such as Physics and Philosophy. Between 2020 and 2022, I was responsible for an extension project in a popular course in the municipality of São Bernardo do Campo, for developing the discipline “sociology/philosophy” from an interdisciplinary perspective as a teacher. One of the axes of the discipline was to deal with the teaching of quantum physics, which connected us with all other disciplines, with emphasis on physics, mathematics and current affairs. Such topics have been researched by our group within the university, and this extension project is a two-way street between research and teaching of sociology. Controversies surrounding the foundations of quantum physics remain as alive as ever. Today it is possible to better understand this area of ??Physics and its reverberations in various scientific disciplines precisely as a result of these controversies, as well as the various scientific researches that it has fueled over the last few decades. This work started from the investigation, together with the students of the preparatory course, about the scientific controversy around the “Bell's theorem”, in relation to the principle of “non-locality” and related it to its instructions in the disciplines mentioned above. The following reflection is the result of research and teaching in sociology/philosophy from an interdisciplinary perspective.
