Abstract

Written by Maria Teresa Eglér Mantoan, PhD in Education and professor at Unicamp, the book “School Inclusion – What is it? is divided into five distinct sections: Preface, Introduction, Chapter One (describing the definition of school inclusion), Chapter Two (explaining the reasons behind implementing school inclusion), Chapter Three (detailing the process of making school inclusion a reality ), and the author's final considerations. These sections are interconnected by the thought-provoking questions that arise from reflection on the changes taking place both in society and in the education system.

Author Biography

  • Gutemberg Gomes Silva, Instituto Federal do Triângulo Mineiro

    Mestrando em Educação Profissional na linha de Políticas Públicas da Educação pelo Instituto Federal do Triângulo Mineiro. Possui pós-graduação em Gestão Pública da Saúde pela Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro, Graduação em Gestão Pública pela Universidade Norte do Paraná (2016); Graduação em Processos Gerenciais pela Universidade Norte do Paraná (2013), Licenciatura em Geografia pelo Centro Universitário Internacional (2020); Licenciatura em Pedagogia pelo Centro Universitário Internacional (2022) e Pós Graduado em Psicopedagogia Institucional e Clinica pela faculdade Fleming Cerquilho (2023). Atualmente faz parte do quadro efetivo do Governo do Estado de Minas Gerais e atuo também como professor de educação básica do Governo do Estado de Minas Gerais. Com experiência na área pedagógica.
