Abstract

The study on the acquisition of language and writing is fundamental, as it is linked to the monitoring of child development, taking into account the uncertainty of the critical period. The study makes it possible to perceive that language acquisition is a multidisciplinary or hybrid area, in an exchange between linguists and psychologists, having led experimental naturalists to classify three main subareas for language acquisition: acquisition of the mother tongue; second language acquisition and writing acquisition. According to Cagliari (2008), the teacher must work with the child specific technical knowledge about what he teaches and the things that the student wants to learn, for a better understanding of the facts involved and, better school evaluation activity, in cases of some disorders or writing and speaking deviations from language. It is essential that the teacher or educator works with the student in a pleasant way and regarding their grammar, mediating the deviations in writing found and that reflect the daily practice of speech. Thus, all educators who deal with children must be aware of warning signs and risk factors for changes in the development process of language acquisition and writing in preschool.
