Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to contribute to the debate regarding student leadership in the project of high school degrees coupled with a professional specialization. It records the participation of students in the struggle for rights and democracy, identifying the extent to which youth gained visibility for their leadership role in society, as well as the difficulties they have faced. The study was conducted through bibliographic research, scientific databases, and a selection of texts presented in the Professional Master's Program in Professional and Technical Education. The results of the study showed that the participation of students and their opportunities for debate in the decision-making in school is still resistant, a fact that reinforces the need for discussion about the practice beyond legal instruments and internal documents.
