Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article analyzes three hybrid texts from contemporary literature and music from the perspective of intergenericity and hybridization of textual genres, based on the studies of Marcuschi (2008), Bakhtin (2003), and Koch (2006). The objects of analysis are the short story "The Smallest Woman in the World" by Clarice Lispector, the song "Once Upon a Time" by Kell Smith, and the poem "Women's Voices" by Conceição Evaristo. Each text presents multiple generic traits, fusing poetic language, narrative, chronicle, memory, and social critique. The aim is to demonstrate how the fusion between genres enhances the effects of meaning and expands the expressiveness of the texts, demanding an active and contextualized interpretative stance from the reader.
