Abstract

The article discusses the nexus between science, knowledge, capitalism and higher education in the light of the recent theoretical contributions of Capital in higher education (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023), by Krystian Szadkowski, which presents fundamental theoretical and practical challenges for understanding the transformations and subsumption of higher education to capitalist reproduction. The theoretical approach intersects a review of the research area and suggests themes for reflection and the design of public policy.
